The Nigeria Disability Tech Summit team operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@ndts.ng with questions or requests about your information.

When you register for the summit

• Contact and identity details, including your name, email address, phone number, age range, gender, and location; you may also provide your organisation and role.
• Your event interests, how you heard about the summit, and any optional comments about what you hope to gain.
• If you choose to share them, disability information and accessibility requests so the team can plan requested accommodations. These details are optional.
• If you choose to provide them, a support person's attendance preference and an emergency contact's name, relationship, and phone number.
• Your registration ID and registration status, along with the choices and consent recorded when you submitted the form.

When you contact us or submit an enquiry

• The name and email address you provide, plus the subject and message in a contact form.
• Details you provide in partner or sponsor enquiries, such as your organisation and message.
• Information you include when you email us directly.

Website and device information

Our hosting and analytics services may process technical and usage information, such as the pages requested, browser or device details, and general interaction data. Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. You can decline or change your analytics choice using Cookie preferences. Essential technical processing may still occur so the website can operate and be protected.

• To create and manage your event registration, issue your registration ID, plan event capacity, and send registration or event information.
• To understand and arrange the accessibility support you request, and to contact you or your emergency contact when needed for event safety or coordination.
• To respond to contact, partner, and sponsor enquiries and keep an internal record so the team can follow up.
• To understand how people use the website when analytics are enabled, and to maintain, secure, and improve the website.
• To meet applicable legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of attendees and the event team.

We do not use accessibility information to decide whether you may attend. We do not use registration information for unrelated marketing unless you separately agree to that use.

Depending on the information and purpose, we process information with your consent (including optional disability and accessibility details and analytics cookies), to take steps you request when registering or contacting us, for legitimate event and website operations, or to meet legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it for future processing by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place lawfully.

We do not sell personal information. Access is limited to NDTS team members who need it for event administration, accessibility planning, or responding to your enquiry. We use service providers to host and store website and registration data, manage enquiry records, deliver email, and provide analytics. Those providers process information to provide their services to us. Google Analytics receives analytics data only if you accept analytics cookies. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or where it is necessary to protect someone's rights or safety.

Some service providers may process information in countries outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we take steps intended to protect the information in line with applicable data protection requirements.

The site stores your choice about analytics cookies on your device. If you accept, Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to measure website use. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the site footer. Your browser also lets you manage or clear stored data; clearing it may cause the consent prompt to appear again.

We keep registration and enquiry information for as long as it is needed to administer the event, respond to you, maintain necessary records, and meet legal obligations. We then delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed. Some records may need to be kept longer where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute. You can contact us to ask about information associated with you.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we process your personal information, request access to it, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, or receive information you provided in a portable form. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, email hello@ndts.ng and tell us how we can identify the relevant record. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a concern, you may contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Rights and remedies depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to limit access to personal information and protect it against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No website or electronic storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us promptly if you believe information you sent to us has been exposed or misused.

The registration form includes an age range for attendees under 18. A parent or guardian should help a child complete the form and should ensure that any information shared, including emergency contact details, is appropriate to provide. Please do not submit another person's information unless you are authorised to do so.

We may update this policy as our website or data practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
