Why NDTS Was Created
Nigeria is home to millions of persons with disabilities, yet conversations around technology and innovation have rarely placed accessibility and inclusion at the centre. While remarkable work is happening across education, healthcare, assistive technology, research, public policy and entrepreneurship, many of these efforts remain disconnected, limiting opportunities for collaboration and long-term impact.
The Nigeria Disability Tech Summit (NDTS) was founded by Trarrk to change that. Created as a national platform, NDTS brings together innovators, startups, engineers, educators, researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, disability organisations, development partners, investors, and persons with disabilities to collaborate, exchange ideas, showcase solutions, and accelerate disability technology across Nigeria.
As the inaugural edition, NDTS marks the beginning of a long-term movement to strengthen Nigeria's disability technology ecosystem. Beyond a one-day summit, the vision is to inspire partnerships, encourage innovation, influence policy, and create sustainable solutions that improve the lives of millions through technology.
